Cabinet refinishing, whether painted or stained, is the most economical way to completely transform your kitchen. The process is usually a fraction of what it would cost to go through a full gut renovation.
A simple job can be completed on-site in as little as 7 to 10 business days. For more detailed jobs, we can also spray finish cabinets off-site at our shop.
Choosing a Kitchen Cabinet Color
Choosing a color for your cabinets can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll offer advice based on trends we’ve seen in the market as well as insights from our years in the field. Here at Cabinet Painting Denver, Co. we make it easy for you. We can match to either Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore colors. We use an industrial strength waterborne acrylics that harden like a lacquer paint providing a satin finish.
Our Preparation Protocols are a Top Priority
When the existing finish is a clear coat, the best course of action is to scuff the finish down before painting. This eliminates a potential adhesion problem between the old finish and the new paint.
But while stripping may be the ideal for purists, it’s not always practical or absolutely necessary. A thorough cleaning followed by light sanding should be enough to prepare the surface for new paint.
We use a Precatalyzed lacquer primer that ensures to go over all our sanding scratches smoothly. A Precatalyzed lacquer primer literally sticks to glass and out performs all other type oil based primers and waterbased primers and is a top of the line product when it comes to Cabinet Painting.
